Malindi MP Willy Mtengo has threatened to ditch the party and back Jubilee candidate Phillip Charo following the flaws in the Saturday primaries. Mtengo accused the ODM national elections board of failing to prepare effectively for the polls.
After her announcement as the winner of the parliamentary nomination process, Jumwa extended an olive branch to Mtengo urging him to stay in the party and campaign for ODM in the run up to the August 8 general election.
The MP said he was confident of winning the polls as he had delivered to the electorate for the one year he has been in office. He condemned the youths for the chaos and assured his supporters that there was adequate security.
